A couple firsts for this game...Connor picked a night with Mom over a night with LJ and when asked who his favorite basketball player was earlier in the day he said, Betty. He appears to miffed at LJ for some reason. Also, Shyra Ely showed up and played quite well (a trend that continued in the next two games as well) as she seems to be finding her place in the mix. Sue looked a step off...is the knee bothering her more than she lets on?
Bill Lambier got huge boos at the game but took it in stride. Good for him. I think he is fantastic for the league. He is a character that brings even more entertainment to the experience.
Detroit looks like a championship team and it is only June. Wow. They are crisp, deep and have clutch players all over the floor. They are a better team without Riley which suprises me.
