LJ had another solid outing in her second game with the Canberra Capitals in the WNBL. She followed her 39 point performance of two weeks ago with 29 points, 18 rebounds and 4 assists. She had little individual support in the scoring department, with Jenny Whittle chipping in 18 points, Kellie Abrams adding 9 and Tully Bevilaqua and Eleanor Sharp rounding things out with 8 apiece. Essentially they held on to win the game 77-70 simply because the Bulleen Melbourne high scorers couldn't match LJ. Desiree Glaubitz led the Boomers with 22 points, followed by Hollie Grima with 17 and rounded out by Katrina Hibbert's 12 and Sharin Milner's 9. While Tully's line was not all that impressive she did hit a milestone in completing her 200th WNBL career game. Congratulations Tully.
On my +/- journey, I have three games remaining. Sue Bird has taken over the lead from Vodo with JB right on her trail. I should have the final numbers up this week, though business travel is getting in the way of my analysis as I am presenting at a conference in Orlando all week.
