Great article on the basketball life of 2005 WNBA Coach of the Year John Whisenant found courtesy of She's Got Game blog. Notable quote on his time with the Monarchs, "It's been my only experience coaching women...but I've told people that once those players cross midcourt, they're just a player, no matter whether they're a man or a woman. The game is still played the same." This is from a college player who has coached college and AAU "men's" teams (these are just boys folks) including a national AAU championship team. His winning record is remarkable...at all levels. My respect for him continues to grow.
